After a somewhat disappointing first attempt at a smartwatch, OnePlus is ready to give it another go with the upcoming Nord Watch, and here's what to expect. The Nord line is expanding from just smartphones to being a sub-brand under OnePlus. There are already Nord earbuds and wired earphones, and now OnePlus is adding a new smartwatch category. So it is only a matter of time before it announces the first Nord-branded smart TV or lifestyle product.SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY
Apart from the Nord Watch, OnePlus is also expected to announce a successor to the OnePlus Watch. However, the details of the wearable are currently unknown. It has also been rumored to launch a second-generation fitness tracker. Considering there is still a quarter left before the end of 2022, OnePlus still has more than enough time to launch these products.

OnePlus has already begun teasing the Nord Watch and has revealed some key details and images that show what the smartwatch would look like. So far, it has been confirmed that the Nord Watch will have a rectangular 1.78-inch AMOLED display with a 368 x 448 resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 500 nits. In addition, OnePlus has also disclosed that the watch will have more than 100 watch faces that will be available online. Now, the Indian leaker, Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings), has more details about the upcoming watch.
It Will Have Long Battery Life
Alongside the specifications revealed by OnePlus, the source also mentions that the phone will have a heart rate sensor, blood oxygen level monitoring, stress monitoring and support for women's health tracking. In addition, it will be able to track up to 105 different activities. The Nord Watch will also have a battery life of up to 10 days, which is a bit short compared to the OnePlus Watch's up to 2 weeks of battery life. While not stated, the Nord Watch will likely run a proprietary operating system based on RTOS, not Wear OS. Furthermore, the Nord Watch should be compatible with Android and iOS devices.
An earlier leak already revealed that the watch would have a companion app called "N Health," which should be available for download from the Play Store and App Store. In addition, OnePlus will offer the watch in two color options – Midnight Black and Deep Blue. The price of the upcoming wearable is still under wraps, but it is expected to be cheaper than the $159 launch price of the OnePlus Watch. So far, OnePlus has only confirmed a release in India, but it may eventually bring the Nord Watch to other regions in the future.
