Bachelorette: DeMario Jackson Denies Sexual Assault Allegations

DeMario Jackson, a former star of The Bachelorette, denied two women's sexual assault allegations against him. Bachelor Nation fans know DeMario from his stint on two shows. First, he competed as one of the suitors in Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette. He was one of the men who formed a connection with Rachel, but she sent him packing after discovering he already had a girlfriend. However, DeMario reintroduced himself to Bachelor Nation fans when he starred in Bachelor In Paradise season 4. Unfortunately, he had a short-lived time on the beach after a sexual encounter between him and Corinne Olympios caused filming to come to a temporary halt.

Although Corinne later said she was intoxicated at the time and wasn't a victim of DeMario's, the latter found himself in hot waters recently after two women, aged 25 and 28, accused him of sexual assault. The women, whom DeMario allegedly met online, filed a complaint with the Superior Court of California. The 25-year-old woman accused DeMario of exposing himself and forcefully kissing her. She also alleged that he sexually assaulted her after they went on another date. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old woman accused DeMario of forcing himself on her despite her demands for him to stop when they met at his home.

Bachelor Nation fans were shocked by the accusations leveled at DeMario and wondered what to make of it. However, the former Bachelorette star has now moved to clear his name. DeMario's publicist, Eve Sarkisyan, issued a statement via ET in which the reality TV star responded to the two women's accusations. At the beginning of the statement, DeMario claimed that he walked directly into the Los Angeles police station four years ago after being falsely accused of raping two women. He explained why he went to the police, saying, "My arriving and departing Uber receipts proved when, where and the time I was with these women and the truth is my receipts proved I was completely out of the vicinity."

DeMario also said he provided screenshots of text messages the day after the women filed the police reports. He said the authorities looked at his evidence and let him leave that precinct because he supposedly did no wrong. DeMario added, "I am innocent, I did not hurt or harm those women." The former Bachelor In Paradise star also said his name was smeared beyond measure last week and revealed he was starting the process to clear his name. He concluded, "The criminal case (District Attorney cleared me) is about my freedom and the civil case is about my money. I will defend myself. Thank you all for the love and support."

When the women filed complaints against DeMario, it was understandable for his fans to question the 35-year-old's reputation given his sexual encounter with Corinne five years ago. DeMario's statement showed he is determined to prove his innocence and save his reputation. He claims to have enough evidence to show that he has done no wrong but has to allow the legal process to definitively determine that. Fans of The Bachelorette alum will be pleased with his statement and hope the court clears his name in due time.
