All Genshin Impact 3.1 Spiral Abyss Changes

Since the release of Genshin Impact, fans have always taken a liking to the rewards, challenges, and overall experience that comes with the Spiral Abyss. Due to the large amounts of Primogems that are only awarded to those who complete this extremely difficult challenge, many players flock back to the game bi-weekly to take on this event. With the release of Genshin Impact Version 3.1, as well as Cyno, and more of Sumeru, many fun changes have come to the Spiral Abyss, giving stalwart and devoted players new material to sink their teeth into.

In Genshin Impact, the Spiral Abyss gives players a series of difficult challenges, that come with rewards for each floor completed. There are 12 floors in total, though only the last four are repeatable every two weeks. These events usually consist of fighting enemies within a time limit or defending a certain objective from a hoard of monsters. The faster the mission is accomplished, or the healthier the objective remains, the more stars are rewarded, which leads to better prizes - most notably 150 Primogems per floor. Also available in the Abyss are Genshin Impact 3.0's Deepwood Memory and Gilded Dreams Artifact Sets. Certain events and mechanics change from floor to floor, meaning players have to adapt and adjust to whatever the Spiral Abyss throws at them.

With the release of new Genshin Impact patches, players can usually expect the same changes to the 11th and 12th floors of the Abyss. This mixes up the enemies, generally featuring new ones from the patch, Ley Line Disorders and Blessings, changing the buffs a party receives on these floors. On top of this, Genshin Impact Version 3.1 is offering a new character as a reward in the Spiral Abyss.

Genshin Impact 3.1 Spiral Abyss Floor 11, Phases, & Bonus Changes

For Floor 11, Ley Line Disorder, Genshin Impact is adding a 75% Electro damage bonus. This isn't shocking due to the recent release of 5-Star Electro Polearm wielder Cyno in Version 3.1. The monsters will also be updating, showing off some new enemies as well as the boss, the Matrix of Overseer Network. The 4-star Dendro character Collei has also been made available for those who have completed at least Floor 4-3.

Finally, the changes in blessing that will come during the first reset of the Abyss are Pruning Moon, Ascending Moon, and Rupturing Moon. The first phase, the Pruning Moon, will buff Elemental Mastery by 40 every time a Bloom-related Elemental Reaction occurs, stacking up to 5 times. For the second phase, the Ascending Moon will lower the all Resistances of any target taking damage from a Dendro Core by 8%, to a max of 32%. Finally, the third phase, the Rupturing Moon, will cause Dendro Cores to deal an extra shockwave of True Damage. These changes are sure to give Dendro, Electro, and Hydro characters, like upcoming 5-Star Hydro character Nilou, a massive buff in the upcoming Version 3.1 Spiral Abyss.

Though many find the Genshin Impact's Spiral Abyss to be too challenging, this side objective is a great place to grind for those who have a party able to clear it. By taking advantage of the new buffs, as well as the weaknesses of the new enemies, players may find that they have an easier time clearing all four of the repeatable floors. With these changes from Genshin Impact Version 3.1, as well as the new opportunity to obtain Collei, now is the perfect time to jump into the Spiral Abyss for those who have been putting it off.
