All 10 90 Day Fiancé Couples That Got Divorced

90 Day Fiancé recently aired the season 9 finale, which saw all eight of the season’s couples tying the knot. Considering the outcome of the latest season, many fans are wondering how long these marriages will last. As is the case with reality romances, very few of the relationships actually go the distance.

In 2022 alone, the franchise would see the splits of couples such as Pedro and Chantel (The Family Chantel), Paul and Karine, and the extremely controversial Mark and Nicki. Unfortunately, divorces are familiar territory for this popular franchise.

Former couple Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee would make their televised debut on the first season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. After giving birth to their son Taeyang, the single mother of two would move to South Korea to be with Jihoon. However, his financial lies and lack of maturity contributed to the relationship’s downfall.

The couple divorced in 2020 when Deavan moved back to Salt Lake City, Utah, with Jihoon essentially signing away his parental rights afterward. Deavan is in a new relationship with actor/model Topher Park and they are currently expecting their first child together.

Jorge and Anfisa

One of the franchise’s most controversial couples, Jorge Nava and Russian-born Anfisa Arkhipchenko had major problems from the start of their televised journey. Despite the latter’s brutal honesty about her lavish expectations, Jorge still felt Anfisa was using him. Upon finding out the amount of Jorge’s debt, Anfisa was miffed by his lies.

Their tumultuous relationship was further chronicled on two seasons of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?. The couple would eventually divorce, but they seem to be in a better place presently. Jorge is now a doting father of two and Anfisa has become a certified personal trainer.

Ashley and Jay

Ashley Marston and Jay Smith first met in Smith’s native Jamaica before tying the knot in season 6 of 90 Day Fiancé. However, this marriage wouldn’t last. Since their relationship started on rocky waters, longevity was not in the cards.

In 2019, Jay would be arrested for violating the protection from abuse order Ashley had put into place. It would take Ashley filing for divorce three times before the process was finally finished in March 2021. Both Ashley and Jay seem to be thriving in their respective lives in 2022.

Colt and Larissa

Another couple would be introduced in 90 Day Fiancé’s sixth season, which was Colt Johnson and Brazilian-born Larissa dos Santos Lima. Their turbulent relationship was drama fodder from the start. The couple eventually split due to Larissa’s multiple arrests for domestic violence in addition to the mutual animosity with Colt’s mother Debbie.

Colt would appear on the fifth season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? with then-girlfriend Jess Caroline before eventually settling down with his best friend, Vanessa Guerra. Alongside Colt’s mom Debbie, Colt and Vanessa can be seen on 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life.

Danielle and Mohamed

Many fans thought that Tunisian Mohamed Jbali was only using Danielle Mullins for a green card. This opinion was further fueled when he refused to even kiss her at their wedding. Unfortunately, the problems wouldn’t end there.

The couple appeared on the first two seasons of Happily Ever After, in which Danielle threatened multiple times to have Mohamed deported, which eventually led to their divorce in October 2017. However, it seems the former couple have forgiven each other for their past wrongdoings and turned over a new leaf, starting over in a friendship.

Michael and Juliana

Season 7 introduced Michael Jessen and Brazilian Juliana Custodio as a couple. Despite being one of the least compatible 90 Day Fiancé couples, they still made it down the aisle. However, numerous obstacles were more powerful than their desire for a happy ending.

The couple’s 23-year age gap was not only disconcerting for fans, but for Michael’s ex-wife Sara as well, unsure about Juliana’s presence around their two children. Michael and Juliana would separate in November 2021. Their divorce was finalized in May 2022, two months before welcoming a baby boy with fiancé Ben Obscura.

Jonathan and Fernanda

Another season 6 couple that got divorced was Jonathan and Fernanda. Mexico native Fernanda Flores was immediately embraced by viewers for her overall sweet nature. Although, quite a few fans were skeptical of her relationship with Jonathan Rivera due to the couple’s 13-year age (Fernanda was 19 to Jonathan’s 32) difference and constant fights.

The relationship ended when Fernanda, feeling unappreciated and unloved, decided to pursue a modeling career in Chicago. Both seem to be happier after their 2020 divorce, with Jonathan becoming engaged and having a baby while Fernanda appeared on The Single Life.

Molly and Luis

Lingerie business owner Molly Hopkins and Dominican-born Luis Mendez first appeared on the fifth season of 90 Day FiancĂ©. Similar to other couples on the show, they had a rocky start, but that didn’t deter them from walking down the aisle. Postnuptial life saw lots of fighting between Molly and Luis, especially over her daughters.

Luis and Molly would get divorced in 2018, less than a year after tying the knot. While Luis has gotten remarried (and divorced), Molly appeared in The Single Life’s debut season, having found love again with boyfriend Kelly Brown.

Chelsea and Yamir

Illinois native Chelsea Macek and Nicaraguan Yamir Castillo made their television introduction on the second season of 90 Day Fiancé. Being a member of the band Myla Vox, Yamir became disillusioned with married life in Galesburg, in addition to a lack of musical opportunities.

The couple would ultimately split after Chelsea came out as pansexual. Following their divorce, it seems that Yamir and Chelsea have reached a better place in the formation of a post-divorce friendship. Chelsea remarried in April 2021 to boyfriend Daniel Verni while Yamir continues to be a musician in Chicago.

Evelyn and David

Evelyn Cormier is no stranger to reality television, as she was previously an American Idol finalist. Her next venture would be on 90 Day Fiancé’s fifth season alongside Spain native David Vazquez Zermeno. Unfortunately for the couple, they would divorce almost five years after their televised wedding.

A lack of intimacy greatly contributed to the marriage dissolution, resulting in countless fights between Evelyn and David, with the former making claims of emotional and mental abuse from the latter. Upon their divorce being finalized in April 2022, Evelyn threw herself back into music to cope and move on from the relationship.
